The Doors Tribute Coming to Knoxville, Tennessee!

DoorWay to a Cure, a benefit concert for Alzheimer’s, is coming to Open Chord Music in Knoxville, Tennessee!

“The Doors” tribute band “DoorWay” is coming to Open Chord. It’s about psychedelic fuzz, Vox organ, tribal drums and the spirit of Jim Morrison. DoorWay IS NOT an amateur group, haphazardly spitting out Doors tunes. DoorWay is a helluva show – a musical “trip” to the blusey, acid rock of the late ‘60s with an added R&B edge. Foursome Johnny Edwards, Pete Petersen, Kevin Keller and Larry Abrams combine for 200-plus years of professional experience in multiple genres backed by a “Who’s Who” resume. Members have shared the stage and studio with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Lou Rawls, Gladys Knight, Ramsey Lewis, Pure Prairie League, Bo Diddley, Percy Sledge... And DoorWay’s Johnny Edwards was “Foreigner’s” lead vocalist in the early ‘90s when the legendary Lou Gramm left to focus on a solo career.

DoorWay is in Knoxville for the first time for the benefit concert DoorWay to a Cure. Proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s Tennessee and families across Tennessee battling Alzheimer’s disease. Enjoy the show, and Make Alzheimer’s a Memory. Additional limited VIP seating, tables & sponsorships available. Contact MaryLynne.Payne@TNalz.org.
