Spooky Scary Skeletons is my Jam man…
Trying to build your best Halloween party playlist? Go through pre-made playlists and add the ones you like (or you think your audience would like) to your own customized playlist. Here are just 10 that we think would be great additions for any Halloween party playlist.
1. Thriller by Micheal Jackson
We all know and love this spooky Halloween classic. Thriller by Michael Jackson has haunted our ears since 1982. Did you know that this song was originally going to be called Starlight? According to Metal Floss, Rod Temperton wrote the lyrics to Starlight but decided to change it to Thriller to be more Edgar Allen Poe(ish).
2. Disturbia by Rihanna
The 2008 album Good Girls Gone Bad: Reloaded from Rihanna featured the song Disturbia and it gave us a little look into her Goth side. Rolling Stones describes the song as, “It’s a song where staring at the phone waiting for it to ring turns into a full-blown mental breakdown.”, and honestly, I think we can all relate.
3. This is Halloween by Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson took this classic Disney hit and turned it in to a Halloween classic with his version of This is Halloween. Here is my question for you though, Is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie?!
4. Monster Mash by Bobby “Boris” Pickett
This song is definitely a grave yard smash! Monster Mash by Bobby “Boris” Pickett should definitely be on your Halloween party playlist!
5. I Put A Spell On You by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins
Whether you think this song is just a bunch of Hocus Pocus or not, I Put A Spell On You will definitely put you in the spooky spirit at any party!
6. Witch Doctor by David Seville
This song is perfect for all your Halloween party playlist because it will get stuck in everyone’s head for the rest of the night. That, my friends, is the scariest party trick of them all.
7. Halloween Birthdaze by New Beat Fund
This song is perfect for any Indie/Alternative music fans out there. It’s fun and fresh and is sure to get the party going!
8. VooDoo Child by Jimi Hendrix
It would be witchcraft to not include VooDoo Child to the Halloween party playlist! This song is sure to make your party rockin!
My inner emo kid is screaming “It’s not a phase, Mom.” You’ve gotta add our emotions Queen Evanescence to the list!
10. I Want Candy by Bow Wow Wow
Last, but definitely not least, you have to add I Want Candy to your Halloween playlist. Not only is it nostalgic for everyone, it also helps promote the consumption of candy into your mortal souls, which is exactly what every candy company wants. Congrats embedded marketing, you’ve gotten us yet again!
