'American Idol's' Cade Foehner In Hitting The Open Chord Stage

 Top five American Idol contestant and musician, Cade Foehner will take the stage at Open Chord on November 21 in Knoxville Tennessee.  

Born and raised in East Texas, Foehner has always been a music lover. He started playing the guitar at age 13 and the rest his history. In 2014, at the Dallas International Guitar Festival, he was named best guitarist under 20.

Foehner’s unique ability to fuse blues rock and country together mixed with his soulful voice is what made him stand out on Idol. While on Idol, he performed with legendary guitar player Gary Clark Jr. were they performed “Bright Lights” together. Foehner made it to the top five on season 16.

Since Idol, he has released four songs: “Crown,” “Breathe Out,” “Southern Hallelujah,” and his newest: “Baby Let’s Do This” which features Gabby Barrett in the music video.

While he will be stopping in Knoxville for a show, he is currently finishing up his new album, touring with country star Chris Lane, and enjoying his newlywed life.

Foehner recently married Idol third runner up Gabby Barrett in October. The two met on Idol and later got engaged in the same hotel they met at. Neither of them wanted to wait long to be married because they knew they were meant for eachother and wanted to start their forever as soon as possible.

The two married in Garrison, Texas, in the woods with 100 of their closest friends and family. In an exclusive to PEOPLE, Barrett said: “Texas is such a perfect backdrop for the start of our marriage. The setting of our wedding in the woods really influenced the décor and feel of our big day.”

Foehner is set to take the stage at 8 p.m. on November 21 at Open Chord. All ages are welcome and tickets are still on sale.
